UNS S31803 duplex stainless steel Rings is known for a perfect balance of mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. It has a chemistry of (22% chromium), also known as duplex grade or F51, which defines good properties of both austenitic and ferritic grade options. UNS S31803 rings provide double the yield strength versus 300-series rings while maintaining excellent performance. UNS S31803 duplex rings are resistant to chloride-induced environments and stress corrosion cracking. This grade also performs well against pitting and crevice corrosion, providing peace of mind in different operating conditions. ASTM A790 is a standard specification covering seamless and welded austenitic-ferritic (duplex) stainless steel pipe. UNS S31803 is a common composition of austenitic-ferritic stainless steel alloy, having approx. 50% ferrite and 50% austenite (also known as duplex) stainless steel alloy.
Stainless Steel UNS S31803 Rings features excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and good corrosion resistance across several environments. Due to the dual nature of the alloy, it has excellent strength and double the yield strength of standard austenitic alloys during age-hardening. SS UNS S31803 also features excellent mechanical strength and resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. UNS S31803 duplex stainless steel is a combination of austenitic and ferritic structure, giving resistance to many localised corrosion environments. It offers resistance up to 280-300°C for intergranular precipitation while maintaining stable performance throughout the operations. It provides a solution annealing temperature at 1020-1100°C.
